Jeremy Blaine Saunders was born to Bruce Durfey Saunders and Laura Gayle Smith on March 13, 1974 at Castle Air Force Base in California. He is the oldest of six! His siblings are Anthony, Jeff, Pandi, Tiffany, and Wendy. From what I am told, Jeremy was a very fat baby, with three chins. He mainly grew up in Alaska…he would tell you when he was young, he had to walk to school in three feet of snow…yadiyah. He was also very accident-proned. Jeremy’s family moved to Mountlake Terrace, WA where he finished out his high school career. Jeremy opened up a Tae Kwon Do school in September of 1993. The school grew and had 160 students. He did that for 10 years, during which time he expanded into a fitness center as well.
Jeremy’s hobbies have always been video games and computers(oh how I love technology). He poked around with coding for an online game that he liked to play, and that eventually led to where he is today! In April of 2003, Jeremy was hired on as a coder/producer of an Iron Realms Entertainment game called Imperian. Basically, it is a text-based game (you have to use your imagination to play). I like to say that people pay him money for fake power, and that’s how we put food on the table. Jeremy assumed more responsibilities as the years went on, and just this year, 2008, he was promoted to President of Iron Realms Entertainment, so he is over four games currently online, with more on the way!
Jeremy loves ultimate fighting (pankration). He fought for a long time and ultimately won the Washington State Champion title belt at 155 pounds. He has since retired (thank goodness) and loves to coach Michelle’s, Aidan’s, and Aaron’s soccer teams as well as wrestling. Jeremy loves outdoorsy, high adventure activity although family and friends tease him for not coming out of his cave (his office) when he is working.
What you wouldn’t know about Jeremy is that he is an extremely talented artist. He is very good at painting and drawing. I wish he would draw more so I could have some authentic and meaningful art to hang in my house! He also has a thing about maps…
Jeremy is great with the youth, and as our kids get older, I love watching him be a father. He is very affectionate and patient with them, and they are obviously his children because they have the same interests and have more to talk about and get excited over than I do! He also knows just what to say when I am at a loss for words.
